The Flare Group has been operating an award winning and highly regarded school of modeling, acting, and self-enhancement since 1979. While training is still a vital component, The Flare Group has evolved to include two successful agencies. FMI represents models all over the world and Flare Talent represents actors in film, television and print.

For some, their dreams of a career in modeling or acting have been realized because of the professional training and career coaching. The Flare Group is under new ownership and operated by Kanita Sichantha, who has been involved in the industry, under the wing of the previous owner, Tracee Chambers, since 1999. Her passion for this industry and commitment to hard work has continued to build a positive relationship with the students, parents, clients and colleagues for the past nine (9) years. She began her career at Flare as a co-op student, and was formally asked to join the company, after completing her co-op, as an office administrator. With her impressive work skills, Kanita was promoted to manager and booker for The Flare Group in 2001. She has achieved and assisted in grooming a number of talented actors and models, as well as, worked with many national and international professionals in the industry. In 2003, Kanita was selected to be a partner in the acting division, which is Flare Talent. She has successfully booked actors in HBC, Family Channel, MacDonald’s, Ontario Tourism, numerous Music & Corporate Videos; just to name a few. As she continued her commitment with The Flare Group, she was officially asked to become the new owner in 2008.

A message from the new owner… As the New Year begins as the new owner, I look forward to many exciting new changes within the company. Our mission is and will always be to help develop positive personal growth in self-enhancement and provide opportunities to learn and work in the field of fashion, modelling and acting. For the last 30 years, Flare has successfully continued to touch many lives and I am honoured to be able to continue this legacy. One of my favourite quotes that I live by is from David Copperfield; he says, “The most important thing in life is to stop saying ‘I wish’ and start saying ‘I will.’ Consider nothing impossible, then treat possibilities as probabilities.” Therefore, come and visit us; allow us to assist you as you pave a path to make the impossible a possibility.
